Another reminder I got today from Kate Pruitt – was on Bauke Knottnerus – not a name that stuck in my mind without force! Bauke is a Dutch artist who creates oversized knit works that show the artist’s hand, strings remain untrimmed and the like in his Phat Knits series.
From the looks of the photos the pieces might be made out of some kind of maleable rubbery tubing. I’m left wondering how heavy they are, how soft and how on Earth he knits them.
